Virtual Frog Dissection Kit

This web site lets you skin a frog to show the 10 of its organ systems and the skeleton. The virtual frog is three-dimensional, and you can rotate it around any axis, or even make movies of it rotating continuously. Clicking on any organ gives one line of text about what that organ does, and you can hide different organs to see the others more clearly. There is also a build-a-frog game, where you are given the nervous system and have to place all the other organs correctly around it.

The interface is all contained on the main screen and is quite easy to use. The pages download pretty quickly after each operation. The frog itself is kind of small, and the graphics are fairly crude, but passable. Overall, this site certainly could not replace a real dissection, but it might offer a student a nice way to review the major organs in a frog.
