Job Posting: EcoBeakerHS distribution and workshop coordinator(s)

We seek secondary school teachers to help get the word out about EcoBeakerHS. The job involves contacting school districts near your home district, arranging demonstrations of EcoBeakerHS, arranging workshops, and depending on the experience level of the applicant, potentially teaching workshops. The job would also involve setting up and / or staffing a booth at regional and state science teachers meetings. Pay will be on a commission basis. We are particularly seeking teacher(s) in the northeast.

Here are some specific qualifications

Required

3 years minimum experience teaching in biology in public schools

2 years minimum teaching environmental science or ecology in a secondary school.

Undergraduate or other training in ecology or environmental science.

Comfortable with computers, and have used computers in the classroom.

Good people skills, willingness to make lots of phone calls, and time to travel.

Preferred but not required

Experience using EcoBeakerHS in the classroom (as part of the beta-testing program, for instance).

Experience using simulation software for teaching in the classroom.

Good network of contacts among science teachers and district level science personnel in your area.

Experience running teacher training workshops.
